Grateful for a year that let me give back to veterans and their families; every face in this image reminds me why I pick up the camera. Volunteering with Portraits For Patriots for four years has become one of the most meaningful parts of my work. In the studio we trade uniforms for professional civilian attire, and what stays with me is how quickly a person’s story surfaces when they feel seen. These 23 headshots from 2025 are more than images — they’re honest moments that honor service and the transition that follows.
Why a Studio Headshot Matters
A studio headshot does more than show a face; it signals confidence, clarifies intent, and shapes how others perceive your next chapter. For veterans re-entering civilian life, a polished headshot is a practical tool for job searches, LinkedIn profiles, networking, and personal branding. It’s often the first impression someone gets online — and after years of wearing a uniform, stepping into a portrait session can be an important, sometimes vulnerable, step toward showing who you are now.
I believe in collaborating and communicating helps coach natural poses and expressions so the final image reflects both professionalism and personality; sometimes we share laughs and even have a little fun.
